Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information trustedtradesfinder.com (the “Site”) collects and how it’s used. We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on the Site.

Public licensing data

The core of the Site is business and licensee information (name, business name, address, city, license number/status, phone, email where published) compiled directly from official state licensing records that are already public. See Sourcing & Methodology for exactly which agency each state’s data comes from. This is not information you give us — it comes from the government record itself.

Information you give us directly

• Contractor signup form (/for-contractors): business name, license number, trade, city, your name, email, and/or phone — used to verify your license against our records and, if you subscribe, to set up billing and reach you about your listing.
• Quote request forms (on city/trade pages): your name, contact info, and project description — used to route your request and, if a matching contractor purchases lead access, shared with that contractor so they can respond to you.
• Reviews: the name and review text you submit, published on the relevant contractor’s profile after a light manual check.
• Claiming a listing: just the state/trade/license number of the listing you’re claiming — no personal information is required to claim.

Payment information

If you purchase a Verified & Featured subscription, payment is handled entirely by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), our merchant of record. We never see or store your full card details — Paddle collects that directly. We only receive your email and which listing (state/trade/ license number) the subscription applies to, so we can activate it. See Paddle’s privacy policy for how they handle payment data. Paddle’s checkout script may set its own cookies during checkout — that’s controlled by Paddle, not us.

How we use this information

To operate the directory, verify licenses before activating a paid subscription, respond to inquiries, route homeowner quote requests to contractors, and publish reviews. We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t sell it to data brokers or third parties.

Cookies

We don’t run analytics or advertising cookies ourselves. The only cookies set on the Site come from Paddle’s checkout script, and only when you interact with a paid checkout flow.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you submitted (signup forms, quote requests, or a review) by emailing getalysis@gmail.com. This doesn’t apply to the underlying public licensing data itself, which is sourced from and remains part of the state’s own public record — corrections to that data should go through the issuing state agency, though we’ll re-sync from the source on our next data update either way.

Children

The Site is not directed at children and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision.
